Low Carbon Consultants (LCCs) are construction professionals that have undergone additional expert training with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). They possess extra skills and abilities to be able to deliver more energy efficient buildings.

LLC's are an essential part of any design team and are essential to the energy efficient design of buildings. They take design and building management beyond minimum standards of energy efficiency and operation.

LCC's on the design section of the register can confirm compliance with the Building Regulations, particularly Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) for buildings other than dwellings.

LCC's on the building management side of the register can provide effective improvements to the energy performance of existing buildings - they are mainly facilities managers and energy managers in-house as well as consultants. They will be able to provide services under the requirements of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, once these are made clear by Government.

The Low Carbon Consultants scheme is managed by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and supported by the Carbon Trust.

Parker Wilson is committed to providing Low Carbon designs. The LCC register will enable consultants to self certify their own work associated with energy conservation and Part 'L' of the building regulations compliance. Parker Wilson now have Engineers on the LCC register.
